Ouachita River School District, Mena High School, and Cossatot River High School, would like to invite you to participate in our upcoming Reverse Career Fair on Wednesday March 4th, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the UARM Ouachita Center.
A Reverse Career Fair offers a fresh approach to career exploration. Instead of employers staffing booths, high school seniors take the lead by hosting tables and showcasing their skills, interests, and career goals. Career representatives rotate through the event, engaging in meaningful conversations with students who align with their industry and workforce needs. It is a "come and go" event so feel free to stay as long as your time allows for the event.
This event provides a valuable opportunity to connect with motivated students who are actively exploring career pathways and preparing for future employment.

The Acorn Jr. Lady Tigers and Jr. Tigers will travel to Umpire to compete in the Umpire Junior High Tournament from January 11h -17th. 🏀

Senior 2025-2026 Homecoming Queen KaitLynn Ledbetter escorted by Braxton Hemund, Senior
Reigning Queen Sydney Holliday presented the Queen’s necklace and crown as she crowned this year’s Queen KaitLynn Ledbetter. Queen KaitLynn Ledbetter shared her sentiments and gratitude as this year’s AHS Homecoming Queen to the student body for their vote and support, her family and faith, as well as her pride and appreciation for the education and experiences gained over the years attending Ouachita River School District at both Oden and Acorn Schools.
Acorn vs Horatio homecoming basketball games included junior boys, senior girls and senior boys games. Homecoming festivities also included the annual homecoming dance after the games.

Acorn Tigers hit the road to face the Mountainburg Dragons on Tuesday, January 6, 2025. Tip-off begins with the Junior Boys at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Senior teams. Come out and support the Tigers as they battle it out on the court!
