This year's theme is “Answering the Call” and honors school board members who step forward to lead and make decisions that guide Arkansas schools and support student success. Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month - January 2026

Acorn Campus Reminder! Group Photos will be taken this Thursday January 8th, 2026. Pre-order forms have been sent home, but extras are available. All grades will have their photo taken as a class including the Senior Class of 2026. We will start with the younger grades and move through to the upper grades. Questions? No classes on Monday, January 5, 2026. The Monday Program is available on Mondays starting Monday, January 12, 2026.

Acorn & Oden Campuses - Classes resume on January 6, 2026

Acorn Campus PeeWee and Archery Photos will be taken Saturday January 3, 2026. As in the past, our photographer will be set up in the Mary Davis Gym and start with PeeWee teams and individuals. The schedule is: 8:00 am 3rd Grade Girls 8:20 am 3rd Grade Boys 8:40 am 4th Grade Girls 9:00 am 4th Grade Boys 9:20 am 5th Grade Girls 9:40 am 6th Grade Girls 10:00 am 5th Grade Boys 10:20 am 6th Grade Boys Please have your child ready and at the gym at their scheduled time. Mr. Spradlin has worked out the times to fit in with the game play schedule for the day. Archery Team and individual photos will start at 10:40 am. Archers may bring their bow or use a school bow for the individual photos. If you have not already received a pre-order form, there will be some available at the gym on Saturday. Questions may be addressed to Mrs. Pearce at 479-234-0614 preferably by text, but will try to answer calls. Go Tigers!

Acorn Senior Teams Hit the Road!

The Acorn Sr. Lady Tigers and Sr. Tigers will travel to Mansfield to compete in the Mansfield Senior High Tournament from December 27th-30th. 🏀

Come out and pack the stands to cheer on our Tigers as they battle for the title of Tournament Champions!

UWI Visit with AHS JRS and SRS

On Tuesday, December 16th, Jeremiah Humphrey of United Welding Institute conducted a presentation with Acorn High School juniors and seniors. Mr. Humphrey provided valuable information about training and career opportunities in welding and discussed various types of skills students can learn and certifications students can earn through the UWI programs.

AHS Alumna Chanity Hall Honored for AHSCA West All-Star Team

Acorn High School Alumna Chanity Hall was recognized and honored for her athletic achievement as a member of the 2025 AHSCA West All-Star Girls Basketball Team.

Acorn High School recognized Chanity Hall and a plaque of her jersey will be on display in the Acorn Gymnasium.

Congratulations, 2025-2026 Mr Acorn Kaden Carter and Miss Acorn KaitLynn Ledbetter!

Kaden is a senior and the son of Shawn and Aimee Carter. Kaden plans to pursue a degree in physical education to pursue a career in coaching.

KaitLynn is a senior and the daughter of Chris and KyLynn Ledbetter. KaitLynn plans to pursue a degree in practical and registered nursing to pursue a career in the medical field.

AHS Class of 2026 - Herff Jones Order Form

On Thursday, December 11th, CASC Admissions Advisor Ashley Moore conducted a presentation with AHS juniors and seniors on academic programs and support services offered at Carl Albert State College. The presentation also included student life organizations and campus life opportunities for students. She also reviewed scholarship requirements and deadlines and encouraged students to visit and tour the campus

Thank you to Ashley and the CASC staff for helping AHS students be better prepared for life!
