On Wednesday, October 19th, Arkansas Department of Education hosted the “Family Mental Health Night” session to provide support, services and resources to empower youth, parents, families and staff in addressing mental health.

The Oden Halloween Pageant interview times are as follows:
1:00 Grades 9-12 Kings and Queens(please be in gym by 1:00)
1:30 Grades 5-8 Kings and Queens(please be in gym by 1:30)
2:00 Grades 1-4 Kings and Queens(please be in gym by 2:00)
2:30 PreK and Kindergarten Kings and Queens(please be in gym by 2:30)
All contestants need to be "pageant ready" by 2:45.

Oden Elementary Parents K-5,
Thank you so much for your support and help in selling the Cookie dough. We had an extremely good sale and profited very well in our effort to raise money to help with new playground equipment. Cookie dough sales will be delivered on November 3rd. Please make plans on picking up the cookie dough on November 3rd. Delivery time will be around noon. I will post as soon as it's delivered. We do not have the freezer space to store the dough.

AHS Students Tour ATU Campus
On Thursday, October 20th, a group of Acorn High School juniors and seniors toured Arkansas Tech University campus to learn about academic programs, scholarship requirements and deadlines, and student organizations to get involved in student life on campus. The campus tour also included exploring classrooms, labs, library/media center, student union, dining hall, food court, bookstore, residence halls, college departments, and student centers for admissions, financial aid, and advising.

ORSD Family,
Thursday October 27th will be our first Parent Teacher Conference night. Our conferences will begin at 3:30 pm and finish at 8:00 pm. In order to make our parent teacher conference times as efficient as possible, ORSD will dismiss that day early at 2:30 pm. Parents please make arrangements to be at your child's bus stop one hour early that evening. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call your child's building or campus. I look forward to seeing you all next Thursday!
