Our school will be celebrating Read Across America during the week of February 27th-March 3rd. We are ordering t-shirts to wear on Dr. Seuss' birthday that week (March 2nd). If you would like to order one for your child or even yourself please send the order forms along with total due to Mrs. Posey by Thursday, February 9th.

It’s Krispy Kreme time!!🍩❤️🍩❤️ Acorn FCCLA is selling Krispy Kreme donuts and ground coffee to help cover expenses for student leadership trips and community service projects. All orders are due by Monday, February 13th. Orders will be available for pickup at Acorn High School on Thursday, February 16th. Orders can be placed with any FCCLA member. The Public School Choice Act of 2015 enables students in Arkansas, grades kindergarten through 12th grade to attend a school in a nonresident district.
If you reside outside of the Ouachita River School District (Acorn and Oden Schools) and choose Ouachita River School District as your school choice for the upcoming school year, our faculty and staff look forward to a collaborative partnership with your family to support your child in the learning process and be successful in preparing for life.
The deadline for the school choice application process is May 1, 2023. The steps to complete the process include:

Acorn Schools 2022-2023 Polk County Spelling Bee Winners
On Tuesday, January 24th, Acorn Schools competed in the Annual Polk County Spelling Bee hosted by Mena Public Schools and sponsored by Union Bank. Contestants from Polk County schools competed from grades 1st through 8th. Acorn students placing in the competition included:

The Acorn Archery Teams will have practice EVERYDAY this week until 5:00pm.
The Regional Tournament is this Saturday, Feb. 11th!!! Tournament details will be given at practice!
Oden jr. Boys advance in the district tournament with a win over Umpire today. They will play Monday @Mount Ida against Kirby at 7:30.
Jr. Girls play Monday at 4:30 in the district tournament.
