Lyle Receives Recognition at AR FCCLA State Conference
Acorn FCCLA Adviser and FACS teacher, Mindy Lyle, has been recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Arkansas FCCLA Educated Adviser Award.
This year, Mindy completed 145.5 hours of professional development, including 64 hours specifically focused on FCCLA.
The FCCLA Educated Adviser Award honors advisers who go above and beyond in their professional growth, requiring a minimum of 50 hours of professional development, with at least 30 hours dedicated to FCCLA-specific training. This recognition reflects a strong commitment to continuous improvement, leadership development, and providing the highest quality experiences for FCCLA members.

AHS Seniors Selected for AR Governor’s Scholastic Honors
Acorn High School has announced that two of its seniors have been given the honor of attending the 2026 Arkansas Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day.
KaitLynn Ledbetter, daughter of Chris and KyLynn Ledbetter and Zane Newton, son of Heather Irwin, have been selected to attend this annual prestigious event in May at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock. Ledbetter and Newton will represent Acorn High School along with other top, high-achieving and outstanding seniors represented from high schools in Arkansas.
A video and photo display highlighting seniors represented will be available at a later date this spring.
