Every day is an opportunity for our students to learn, grow, and connect with their classmates and teachers. In elementary school, each lesson builds the foundation for future success, and being present helps students stay confident and engaged. Our teachers work diligently with all of our students from 7:45 to 4:00 each day to help them be successful. We encourage families to make school attendance a priority whenever possible. Together, we can help every child succeed--because every day counts! Thank you, families, for having your child at school every day, all day.

AHS Hosts Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop
On Tuesday, February 24th, Be Pro Be Proud Workforce Training Workshops Mobile Unit set up on the Acorn Public Schools’ campus for a full day of engaging simulations for students to “test drive” and gain experience and knowledge about various careers and occupations.
Be Pro Be Proud Workshop Tour Coordinators provided an educational tour guide of each simulator experience and trained a group of student ambassadors to partner with students on the simulator stations. AHS Ambassadors included: Kaden Carter, Aidan Rogers, Chase Hobbs, KaitLynn Ledbetter, Lauren Cruz, Braxton Hemund, Irene Gilhousen, and Ethan Gilbert
Prior to the tours, students completed a pre-visit survey. The Be Pro Be Proud Tour Coordinators began the tours with an overview of high demand technical skilled trades’ occupations, training and education requirements to obtain certifications, salary and hiring trends in Arkansas and across the nation with student groups. They encouraged students to engage in the simulation stations to learn more about their career interests and skills and research options to further their education and training in a skilled trades area. Student groups toured the simulation stations which included; excavation, construction site, pest control extermination, commercial truck driving, and electrical lineman.
After each student group toured the simulation workshop stations, students completed a post-visit survey.
Thank you Be Pro Be Proud for coming to Acorn High School to meet with our students and providing such engaging and enriching experiences for our students!
