On October 25, 2024, Acorn High School student leaders attended and participated in a civic engagement event hosted by the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain in partnership with the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute.
The aim of the civic engagement listening session facilitated by The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute is to improve the civic health of Arkansas by hearing from students to learn about the good things happening in communities and any barriers in participating in volunteering, voting and community meetings.
This was an excellent opportunity for student leaders to share their thoughts and represent their school and community in an active and meaningful way. Students attending from Acorn High School were:
Christian Christiana, Eilam Holland, Rebecca Moore, Adalyn Bohlman, Jordan Wagner, Lauren Cruz, Madelynn Auer and Dawson Davis.
