
Mrs Lyle's Food Safety and Nutrition class have completed their ServSafe Food Handler Certification. This industry recognized certification can be used to find employment within the food service industry.


The Oden PTO Santa Supper will be December 11th at 4:30-6:15. Santa will be available from 4:30-6:15. Supper will be served at 5. Anyone who would like to bring chili, soup or a dessert, please have your dish ready to serve by 5:00.

Christmas Concert Reminder : The Acorn High School and Elementary Bands will be performing in the Mary Davis Gym tonight at 7:00.

The Acorn Elementary Christmas program will be Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 p.m.


The Oden High School live Nativity will be December 11th at 7pm.

Mrs. Still and Rory are twinning on “Welcome Back Home” day on homecoming week!


Oden 2019 Homecoming is Friday, December 6th at 5:00. The senior boys will play first at 5:30 followed by the junior girls then senior girls.


Congratulations to Colten Quebedeaux, Kenzie Daniels, and Madison Blair for placing in the top 2 in their event at FCCLA District 6 Star Events. They will be advancing to the State Competition March 3rd in Hot Springs.

Ms. Jackson’s Child Development and Parenting class recently practiced their play-dough making skills so they could build models of a baby in utero.




Oden Elementary’s Christmas musical is tomorrow, Thursday December 5th at 6:30. Students need to be at school by 6:15 and will go to their home room classroom to get organized for the event.

Mrs. Goodner’s Team Building Club went head to head at a “Last One Standing” challenge!



Acorn FCCLA competed in District VI Star Events today at Henderson State University. Huge thank you to Annette Hays, Brad Chandler, and Makenna Goss for helping judge events at today's competition.


Mrs. Bohlman’s 1st grade class earned their perfect attendance reward. They chose to have lunch with Mrs. Lane.


CHRISTMAS CONCERT : The Acorn High School Band and Elementary Beginning Band perform this Thursday night, Dec. 5th, at 7:00pm in the Mary Davis Gymnasium. Admission is free! We will be selling raffle tickets on a Yeti Mug to be given away at the Dec. 12th Choir Concert. Elementary band students need to arrive at 6:30. High school band students need to arrive at 6:20. Students are supposed to wear clothes that are black and white.

The Oden library had an extra special guest reader today. Zofia Metcalf, a fourth grader came and read “Pete the Cat Saves Christmas” to the kindergarten class. Thank you Zofia!! We loved your reading! ❤️
