Acorn Food Safety & Nutrition completed their ServSafe certification this week. ServSafe is an industry recognized certification administered by the National Restaurant Association. Students mastered basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross contamination, allergens, time & temperature control, cleaning, and sanitation. They will be able to use their certification to gain employment in the restaurant industry.
Thank you to Mrs. Nicole Edwards for reading to the Oden Preschool students and introducing them to the AR store!

We are looking forward to seeing you tonight at parent/teacher conferences. Teachers have report cards, reading levels, act aspire results and AMI DAY handouts to give to you. The AMI DAY handout needs put up in a safe place in case we have to pivot instruction. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or me.

Tony Tackett, ER Director at Mena Regional Health System, read the book "Grandpa’s Crooked Little Smile" by Barbara Reeves to AES 3rd graders. Students learned how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke. Thank you Tony and MRHS for the important stroke awareness information and students’ goodie bag.

REMINDER: AHS 7th-12th Grade Parent/Teacher conferences are from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm tomorrow. Report cards may be picked up from the students CAP Advisor.
