The Acorn Tiger senior boys basketball team left for the 2A State Basketball Tournament in Junction City on Friday, March 4th. In an intense first round of tournament play, the Tigers beat Buffalo Island Central 58 to 51 and advanced to the Final Eight. They will take on the Cutter Morning Star Eagles today at 2:30pm.

Drew's official ranking in the State Spelling Bee was 12th place out of 52 spellers. You worked so hard to get there!!


5th Grade student Drew Mabry is competing in the State Spelling Bee today! We all want to wish him Good Luck! 🐝 Everyone is super proud of you!


5th and 6th Acorn GT students completed a Mystery Classroom this week. They used their skills on specific curriculum and deductive reasoning in order to obtain the clues to figure out which suspect stole the Plague Doctor’s sour apple jelly.




Thank you to the Oden PTO for the mobile popcorn cart today! The students loved it and eagerly awaited the cart to make the rounds. Thank you taking time out of your day to love on our students. 🧡🖤🐺🍿🍿🍿

Read Across America Week at Oden📚
We are celebrating and promoting the joy of reading this week.
Monday: Reading Olympics! Students will set reading goals for the week.
Tuesday: Get Caught Reading! Pictures of students reading will be posted in the cafeteria.
Wednesday: Dr. Seuss Day! We are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday!
Thursday: Pop into reading! Oden PTO will provide popcorn.
Friday: Scoop up a good book! Ice cream provided by Oden PTO.

Oden 4th grade will be taking the NAEP test Tuesday, March 1st. The NAEP Test is a national standardized test for reading and math. It is very important that students get a good night rest and are present at school. 📚

A BIG thank you to Oden PTO for decorating our elementary hallway for Read Across America Week! You took time out of your weekend to help make sure the students have a good week. You are VERY appreciated. 🧡🖤🐺
