You are invited to come eat Thanksgiving Lunch with your child next week!
Please find your child's lunch day and time below.
We ask that you prepay to help us avoid a long wait time and line. If you are unable to prepay, please return the note sent home with your child so the lunchroom will have a lunch count. You will need to go to the elementary office to pay for your lunch the day of lunch if you choose not to prepay.
To prepay please send your slip and money to school with your child. We will have tables set up in front of the elementary office so you can pick up your prepaid lunch ticket(s).
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Lunch: Tuesday, November 8th @ 10:45-11:45 a.m.
2nd Grade: Wednesday, November 9th @ 10:45-11:30 a.m.

Students at AES got to celebrate with Ice Cream last week for making their 1st Nine Weeks AR Reading Goal! These students met their point, quiz % accuracy, reading within their level and time reading goal!

Congratulations to Acorn Elementary students, Xander Smith and Summer Southwick! They won the drawing for over $75 worth of free books from our Book Fair!

We will be having a Food Drive tonight at the Acorn vs Cossatot Basketball games. We are gathering food for the Acorn Backpack Program. This program helps send food home to 22+ families/60+ children each week.

UAFS Visit to AHS Campus
On Tuesday, October 25, UAFS Admissions Advisor Eden Barney met with AHS juniors and seniors to present academic programs, scholarship information and deadlines, student life organizations, housing and other important information about the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Olmstead have organized a trip to London, Paris, & Rome in 2025 - and they want to take AS MANY people as they can! Students currently in grades 6-12 are invited to attend - as well as their families!

Thank you so much for your support and help in selling the Cookie dough. We had an extremely good sale and profited very well in our effort to raise money to help with new playground equipment. Cookie dough sales will be delivered on November 3rd. Please make plans on picking up the cookie dough on November 3rd. Delivery time will be around noon. I will post as soon as it's delivered. We do not have the freezer space to store the dough.

AHS Students Tour ATU Campus
On Thursday, October 20th, a group of Acorn High School juniors and seniors toured Arkansas Tech University campus to learn about academic programs, scholarship requirements and deadlines, and student organizations to get involved in student life on campus. The campus tour also included exploring classrooms, labs, library/media center, student union, dining hall, food court, bookstore, residence halls, college departments, and student centers for admissions, financial aid, and advising.
