Mrs. Wilcher's 3rd-grade class has earned the Traveling Attendance Trophy for the week! This class had the highest attendance rate for the week of October 9th-13th. Attendance Matters, Every Person, Every Day.

UWI Presentation to AHS JRS & SRS On October 3rd, Jeremiah Humphrey with United Welding Institute met with Acorn High School juniors and seniors interested in the UWI welding programs. Mr. Humphrey discussed educational and career opportunities and financial resources for students pursuing a career in the welding industry. UWI’s campus is located in Pottsville, Arkansas. Oden Students Tour SAU On September 28th, Oden High School juniors and seniors toured Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in Magnolia, Arkansas. They enjoyed viewing the Nursing and Agriculture Departments and many other buildings on campus. Thank you to the SAU Admissions and Recruitment Staff for a great tour and providing t-shirts! Attention ORSD families & community members, His Hands & Feet Ministry has partnered with Acts of Love Food Pantry. They are giving families in need new socks, underwear, shoes, and clothing on October 12th from 12:30-5:00 p.m. @ Mena 1st Assembly of God.

Lyle Named ACTE 2024 National Award Finalist Congratulations to Mindy Lyle, Acorn High School Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher and FCCLA Advisor being named one of four finalists for the Association of Career and Technical Education National Award category for New Teacher of the Year!
