Lyle Named ACTE 2024 National Award Finalist Congratulations to Mindy Lyle, Acorn High School Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher and FCCLA Advisor being named one of four finalists for the Association of Career and Technical Education National Award category for New Teacher of the Year! The ACTE Awards Gala will be held in November 2023 to recognize the best CTE educators in the country. AFBF & AHFTH Support Acorn Schools’ Backpack Program On October 4th, Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation and Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry donated snack sticks for the Acorn Schools’ Backpack Program. Through a collaborative partnership, the Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation and Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry organization support schools’ backpack programs through the wild game snack sticks program. This program provides protein in the form of shelf stable meat snack sticks to schools to combat food insecurity in Arkansas. Acorn Schools would like to extend our appreciation to Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation and Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry organization for providing the donation to support the Backpack Program! AHS BAND & CHOIR FALL FUN'D CONCERT scheduled for Thursday, October 5th has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. More information and details will be announced at a later date!
