Acorn High School FBLA is hosting a t-shirt fundraiser to help pay for student dues and conference fees. Shirts are available in sizes Child Small to Adult 4XL! Forms were sent home with each elementary student last week, and the deadline to order has been extended to November 15, 2024. At Acorn Monday School, the day was full of pumpkin magic and buttery delights! The little ones dove into a pumpkin seed counting adventure—each tiny seed was a treasure to discover and count. The kids turned fresh cream into golden, silky butter, shaking jars with all their might, their faces lighting up as the soft cream transformed before their eyes.

Acorn Hosts Tom Stuthard Top 25 XC Meet
Acorn High School XC athletes competed in the Tom Stuthard Top 25 Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 hosted by Acorn High School. Over 200 athletes from western Arkansas competed in the event on the Acorn Schools’ Cross Country Course. All Acorn athletes were rewarded with a Tom Stuthard Cross Country t-shirt.
Acorn Junior Girls placed 2nd in team standings. Genevieve Simborio led the Junior Lady Tigers with 2nd in the team standings by finishing 2nd overall. Acorn’s top five Junior Lady Tigers competing were: Kylie Ezell, Addi Ledbetter, Natalie Mabry, and Annabelle Daniels.
Acorn Junior Boys placed 2nd in team standings. Kortsen Edwards led the Junior Tigers followed closely by Cy Young in 9th place. Ryder Laughlin, Ayvaan Flores, and Beau Rodgers rounded out the top five for the Junior Tigers.
Acorn Senior Boys placed 2nd in team standings. Senior Aiden Kimp led Acorn to a 2nd place finish in team standings with Senior Caden Tarkinton in 11th place. Zane Newton, Frederick Metcalf and Michael Carbone rounded out the top five for Acorn Tigers.
Acorn Senior Teams are scheduled for the state cross country championship at Oaklawn on November 8th starting at 2:30 PM for Senior Girls and 3:15 PM for Senior Boys.
