ORSD - Acorn High School - grades 7th - 10th
ATLAS Interim Testing the week of February 25 - 28, 2025
ATTN: Acorn High School Parents and Students
The ATLAS Interim Testing scheduled next week will be an opportunity for your child to demonstrate their abilities, growth and progress gained from interim testing last fall. The assessment data collected is valuable in helping to determine the interventions and supports for your child to receive the assistance they need.
The assessment is a valuable preparation tool for the ATLAS Summative Test later this spring. From the interim testing experiences, your child will be familiar with the testing procedures and content.
We value the continued support and partnership with you in your child’s education and encourage daily attendance, being punctual, and exerting full effort during testing. The testing results are a reflection of the hard work of your child and their teachers, contributing to our school’s annual report card.
Thank you for discussing the importance of the assessments with your child!
See attached schedule and information to be prepared for testing week!

❄️ 5th Grade Science Fun! ❄️
Yesterday, our awesome 5th grade science teacher took advantage of the freezing weather to bring science to life with an exciting hands-on experiment—Ice Marbles! 🧊🌨️
Using nothing but balloons, water, and the cold winter air, her class created stunning ice marbles that were as beautiful as they were educational. The students loved watching the water freeze into colorful, icy orbs, and it was a perfect way to explore the science behind freezing temperatures and crystal formation.
This winter wonderland project brought smiles, sparked curiosity, and gave everyone a chance to see science in action. Big thanks to Mrs. Hollin for turning a chilly day into a magical learning experience! 🧑🔬✨
