Acorn Archery Team

On Saturday, March 7th, the Acorn High School Tigers Archery Team represented the ORSD well again in the Arkansas National Archery in the Schools Program. The Acorn Tigers won the 5th place out of 38 teams to finish with a score of 3282. Jacob Moore was the number one male archer with a score of 292 out of 300. He received a $2,500 scholarship and an Arkansas Game and Fish Genesis bow. Brody Webb placed 3rd with a score of 290 and received a $1500 scholarship. Both young men will be representing Acorn and Arkansas in the National Archery in the Schools Program National Tournament in Louisville, KY on May 7th-9th. The ORSD wishes Jacob Moore and Brody Webb good luck at the National Tournament. There were 255 archers in the girls high school division and no one on the team finished lower than 132nd place. Abigail Nance had the highest place for the team with 13 and a score of 279. That is quite an accomplishment! Sean and Valerie Couch and all of the Acorn Archery fans should be proud of their team!!! This team works hard all the time, and as one can see, produces excellent results. The Ouachita River School District is so proud of all the hard work they put in all season long!
