The Tigers and Lady Tigers both faced the Magazine Rattlers last Thursday, April 8th. The Lady Tigers started off slow at the beginning of the game. Jacy Blansett came in to relieve Emily Blair in the 2nd inning and shut the Rattlers offense down.  The Lady Tigers offense finally came alive when Halli Holland hit a Home Run in the 3rd inning, her third of the season. This put the Tigers up 4-2. The Rattlers went scoreless in the 4th, but the Lady Tigers weren't done yet. The bats were kept alive when Joleana Webb hit a solo homerun in the 4th to advance the lead 5-2. With 2 runners on Corryn Holland hits a 3 run homer to put the score at 9-2. The Lady Tigers will end the 4th inning 11-2. Blansett holds the opponent scoreless again in the 5th. Magazine has a pitcher change in the 5th and the first three batters get hit by pitch. Sarah Tedder scores on a pass ball to end the game. With three dingers from three senior athletes the Lady Tigers win with a final score of 12-2. These seniors are making their last season count.


The Acorn Tiger Baseball team was looking out for blood at the beginning of the game. They faced the Rattlers their first game of the season and fell 7-6. The tigers started of well, with a score of 4-0 after the 1st inning. In the second inning, the Tigers bats were on fire. After two runs score, Braylan Bohlman stepped up and hits a three run homer. Pitcher, Noah Holland (freshman), set down Magazine's offense in the 1st two innings. After a pitcher change in the 3rd, Magazine grabbed two runs. In the bottom of the 3rd, the tigers kept the pedal to the metal and scored 15 runs. Braylan Bohlman hit his 2nd home run of the game. The Tigers made it through the lineup twice in the 3rd. Austin Davis stepped up and hit a grand slam walk off homer. The Tigers ended the game with a win over Magazine 23-2. Austin Davis and Braylan Bohlman are only sophomores. They provide hope for the future of the Acorn Baseball Program.
