UPDATE:

Since our Ranger Station is closed to the public, we are asking YCC applicants to call us at (479394-2382 either before or as you’re dropping off your application at 1603 Highway 71 North in Mena.

 We have set up two boxes on our front porch:  one for “Blank YCC Applications” and one for “Completed YCC Applications.”  Place your “completed” application into the folder in the “Completed YCC Applications” box, and we’ll pick it up, as soon as you leave.

This summer, the Mena-Oden Ranger District will be hiring a 4-person Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) crew. The crew will work for 8 weeks from June 8th to July 31st with work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 days per week. 

Applicants must commit to the full, 8-week program. The pay rate will be $10.00 per hour and youth must provide their own boots. All other safety gear (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, gloves) will be provided. 

The deadline to submit an application to the Mena Ranger Station (1603 Highway 71 North; Mena, AR 71953) will be April 1, 2020. The days and hours of operation at the station are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Printed copies of the application will be available at the station office.
